  • Weakness: less instantly alpine than Yosemite.
  • Use case: fishing base camp with optional high-country day hikes.

Pick Kennedy Meadows for the better practical 3-night fishing trip from Dublin.

Both avoid the earlier off-road-access problem: no Jeeps or side-by-sides at the backcountry camp/fishing objective.
